I just watched it and I liked it. I wasn't blown away by it, but then I kind of expected that. Few things could live up to that kind of hype.

If the show keeps it up, or even if it dips a bit in the middle or something, it should still prove its point to Marvel.

One thing though: I know a lot of people would like a full (network) season, but I think a mini-series or half-season would be better. That way it could keep up the quality and remain a special event.

This has been the recurring opinion on the shieldTV forums as well. Tell a tightly-plotted story arc in 8 eps, rather than trying to stretch and pad.

And I'd much rather see a short story arc wrap up then have a massive one never reach resolution because a series was cancelled before finishing its run.
