Re: A question to the svelte ladies of F!S

Your BMR is the amount of calories you'd burn if you literally stayed still and did nothing for an entire day. It doesn't take into account the activities of daily life, even if it's just being on your feet at a job, or walking from place to place. All of that demands extra expenditure.

The fact that you're exhausted suggests that the things you're doing during the day are placing more calorific energy demands on you than you're currently allowing yourself.

not OP

"placing more calorific energy demands on you than you're currently allowing yourself"

If they want to lose 17 pounds, they're going to have to do that. Energy in < energy out. There's no other way. Them's the breaks.

Looks like it.

It's funny because this is what my mom weighed when she was my age (we're the same height and build) but she doesn't seem to have had any issues with hunger. She was never overweight like me, though, so I suppose that makes a difference.

ayrt

Well, obviously.

But if OP is burning significantly more calories during their daily activities than they're allowing themselves, then they'll still lose weight even if they bump up their intake to the point where they're not exhausted all the time.
