You're making it worse! That sounds like a perfect life to me. (Well, add in electronics and it would be perfect. I still want Hobbits though, as they're adorable and know how to party.)

When I was a little kid and I read to me the description of a all the meals the hobbits ate everyday, I thought "That must be the best place in the world".

And you still think that, right? (Because you have good taste!) Haha, if I could eat that much and still stay small and adorable I would be the happiest person on the planet. (However I know from experience that in this world it is not possible. At least for me, lol.)

And of course the absolutely stunning landscape is important too, but all those meals...

Personally, I wouldn't want to live there day in and day out all the time, even though I love it.

But it seems like basically the most perfect place to retire imaginable. (Or to take a sabbatical.)

I do too, I don't have a washing machine and need my work uniform cleaned more often than I have time to go to the laundromat. I don't have a dishwasher either. I'm Shire-ready!

This is definitely going to be my new way to view my dishwasher/washing machine-less-ness from now on. It's not because I am poor - it's because I'm Shire-ready!

The only reason I'd be dubious about it would be lack of electronics and wi-fi, but if I could have a hobbit hole with all the modern stuff too? Sign me up!

electronics add a lot of convenience and wi-fi adds entertainment, I can't see hobbits being against those things! They'd undoubtedly want to use clean energy so they didn't have pollution though.

Peter Jackson does. He moved Bag End onto his property and it's all modernized. Now that is MY dream vacation! If only PJ would invite me... ;-)
