People who feel the need to be judgie on my pet choices.

i.e. "why would you have a rabbit, rabbits are boring" or "why would you want a mutt/staffie/kelpie you should get a beagle/lab/retriever/terrier/spaniel"

1. I don't give a fuck if you think rabbits are boring
2. I don't give a fuck about what breeds you like
3. Seriously why the fuck does what you think matter fucking fuck off

Seriously, what the fuck with thinking I should get something OTHER people like when it's for ME. How many times do I have to repeat myself and no your opinion is fucking shit and not valid because these are MY pets and what you think makes a good pet doesn't matter for SQUAT.

And this is why my best friend isn't a best friend anymore even if she doesn't realise it

tl;dr people telling me they don't like the things i like therefore i shouldn't have what I like?

People actually say "rabbits are boring" and "why would you want a mutt"? !

Do people say that about your rabbits that often?

Often enough that I'd prefer they not talk about my pets at all >:

Rabbits are wonderful and have such big personalities. <3

My mom had a pet rabbit as a kid and to piss off my grandmother, her bunny used to run away from her while peeing. Only ever did it to my grandma! But it made my mother laugh.

I actually raised three wild baby bunnies (we did try to put them in their nest, but it was completely destroyed and they were covered in flies).

They were adorable! They would roll in kitty litter (we had an organic wheat-based litter for them) and they also LOVED to lay out on beds in the sun. The funny thing is, we bottle fed them, but they never stopped drinking the milk really.

Even after I let them go out in the forest near our house, if I brought milk and called them (I had a little song I would sing to get their attention), they would run up to me and I would feed them milk. Although they eventually left after two weeks of that.

Rabbits are adorable and the cutest. Don't let fucking ignorant shithead assholes get to you.

Ahhh! Your baby boys sound adorable :D

I love my silly bunnies and that's really all that matters. I'm more irritated people feel the need to tell me their opinions on them as pets. I think cats are boring and annoying but I'm not going to go up to a cat owner and tell them that. Because clearly they LIKE cats so why would I bother to tell them otherwise.

Urgh people.

They were so cute! I miss them, the sweethearts.

But, yes, people who offer their opinions like that are jerks. You have bunnies so why in the world would they say such mean things about rabbits to you? It's just flat-out rude and inconsiderate.

I, personally, am also not a huge fan of cats because I'm allergic, but I don't feel the need to go up and say something completely jerkish like "cats are assholes" to my cat-owning friends.

I once mentioned (because someone asked) that I had to take one of my pet rats to the vet for something, and he 'helpfully' suggested that he just take care of it by feeding my pet to his snake. like, I get everyone's pet choices are different and there are many people who don't like rats, don't get rats, don't get why someone would keep pet rats, but... shouldn't it be obvious by my having one that I do?

I don't bring up pets around people I don't know will at least be marginally respectful or sympathetic anymore.
