On Tumblr? As far as I know, you can only password protect entire blogs not individual posts (like you can on LJ/DW).

Can you? I don't remember that feature. But I feel like f-locking stuff would be an easier way to do it.

Granted it seems peoples' ways of doing it with fannish things look obnoxious. But with personal content that's not advertised anywhere? Yeah, I would absolutely not want them to get rid of that feature. Privacy is too important.
