I apologize then. But to be honest the whole "how can you expect people to not get in uproar about things they DON'T AGREE WITH" thing, well it seems more immature a reaction when we're talking about common fanfic tropes.

Except, you know, I do it every day I read fanfiction. I see a fic I don't like, move on. I see an AU I don't find interesting, move along. It's just what adults do. Someone on the internet shipping your NOtp , or writing a fic you have a bone to pick with really doesn't seem that big a deal in the scheme of things.

So yeah, I still don't see why asking people to act like the adults they are is like expecting world peace. Sorry.
