I meant specifically how people write and post their fics. Comments like:

"You can't post fic on tumblr, it's shit!" "You're posting in installments, you attention whore!" "You write too fast, you must be shit!" "You write too slowly, you don't care about your readers!" "You're not using a beta, you're lazy." "Why do other people use a beta, they must be terrible writers to need someone to help them lol." "Why haven't you finished this fic yet, I hate yoooou, you're only doing it for comments!" "You wrote a multi-fandom drabble series and posted it to AO3 with appropriate tags, you are the worst!"

All comments I've seen. They can get really angry.

It was interesting how most of the comments to this thread ended up being about the contents of fics.

I also agree world peace is never going to happen. Be nice if it did though.

The "not using a beta, you're being lazy" pisses me off. You know how hard it is to find a reliable beta?

That one always pisses me off, too.

Funny thing is, if I make up an imaginary beta, suddenly my work is considered even better. Although it's still just me.

So to me it proves that is all just marketing. Like "chocolate" diamonds. *snerk*

i think you take these type of comments too seriously. all i see just negatif ones.

Drabble series are totally fine if each chapter is labeled by pairing/fandom, but they can be legitimately frustrating if you're in a small fandom.

I don't necessarily want a world where no one gets angry, but it does seem like there's a lot of 0 to RAAAARRRR HULK SMASH the exact same, no matter how serious or mild the "offense."
