People are always asking me what colour I use on my hair. I don't use anything :-(

And to me it just looks grey.

Oh hey, it's not just me. It doesn't bug me much unless people insist I'm lying. It's like, do people often lie about their hair color? Maybe they do all the time and I just don't know because I don't give a shit what anyone else does with their hair.

It is grey, yes, but it must be a particular, exotic kind of grey I can't detect!

I think that well-maintained dyed hair is beautiful, but a lot of people walk around with really crappy dye jobs and it makes me cringe.

Well, stands to reason. If it's a really good dye job, you can't tell it's a dye job. So if you see dyed hair that looks like crap to you, it's probably because it IS, objectively, crap.

(Unless you mean hair dyed crazy unnatural colors. In which case, with a few notable exceptions, I agree.)

normal dye jobs look fine, it's the people over 25 with brightly colored hair that look pathetic and sad
