I've just recently gotten into Killer Instinct. While I've been peripherally aware of it from my days in the Nintendo/Rareware fandom -because you couldn't go 3 feet without someone asking about KI3 at the time-, it never grabbed my attention until just recently. The Did You Know Gaming episodes for it were really fascinating, so I decided to look deeper into it.

Sadly, I don't have an Xbox One yet, so I'm left to make longing grabby-hands at the newest entry, and I've only barely played a ROM of the SNES version (I can't get MAME to work and I'm hesitant to drop $28+tax on KI Gold at my local game store) but man... I'm already in love with how OTT some of these characters are and the absurd lore behind it all. But you know... fighting games.

Killer Instinct is great. I remember playing it on my N64 for days on end.
