Um... wouldn't that fall under the umbrella of "everything can be joked about"? Duh.

this is kind of a bad angle, if your joke would be offensive to those the issue most directly impacts, for instance, then your conclusion shouldn't be "i should say this around people who won't get upset" and more along the lines of "i should change my approach so that humour can be drawn from this that isn't destructive or at the expense of people who are hurting"
