It likely won't have an impact of any sort at all.

I've lost count of how many excellent, well-crafted fics have a handful of comments, and some wildly OOC excuse for badly-written sexfests have literally thousands.
Be it that it's what fandom wants, or what they think is popular and therefore good, there are people "getting off [their] ass and doing something" and it doesn't make one iota of difference.
