RPF shippers will ship, OP. If it's not our cup of tea (as it isn't mine) it's better to just ignore it, and unfollow blogs that do ship it, because it's always going to be there.

That being said, it does sort of bug me that people get all weird about a ship where the woman is old enough to the the guy's mom, but ships where the gu could be the girl's dad are usually a-okay.

Oh please! There are so many ships where the man is old enough to be the younger partner's father, I see no reason to find it creepy once the genders are switched.

Text: I adore them and think they have great chemistry and camaraderie as judges. But it creeps me out a little when people gush about what a great couple they’d make because I think their chemistry is platonic and besides, she’s old enough to be his mother. The fandom is great, it’s just this one thing that squicks me out.

Also, their chemistry is just not like that.

Why is there so much RPF in British reality TV fandoms? Is it a spillover from the tenaciously thriving Britcom RPF? I'm genuinely curious because British reality TV is the only fandom I've ever considered RPFing in myself.
