I feel like the majority of the shippers like them with Erik being the one pursuing Charles and being the dominant one in the relationship, but I prefer it the other way around.

I don't have a preference either way. But I do think a more dominant Charles makes sense. I mean, who would have more experience in a gay relationship, the guy who has spent his child hood being tortured and his adulthood being a Nazi hunter OR the party animal who went to Oxford (which is included in like 4 of the slang terms for intercrural sex).

I like either but it certainly got annoying to see Charles portrayed as some wilting shy flower in fic again and again. I really can't imagine the guy being all that subtle about trying to get in Erik's trousers either.
