Oh man, I love (and hate; I'm complicated like that) Hughes death in FMA so much. (Or, well, more what comes after the death than the actual death.) Elicia screaming at the funeral, Roy's "It's raining"...just thinking about it makes me sad.

Same with Boromir and Thorin in LOTR/Hobbit. Boromir's death was epic (you were so brave, Boromir!), that Aragorn and Boromir moment kills me, and while I don't agree with every decision PJ made regarding Thorin's final scenes, I absolutely adore and think his last moments with Bilbo are perfection. Both actors did a phenomenal job and as fucked up as it is, that death scene makes me all kinds of happy that these movies were made.

Halo: Reach is FULL of depressing deaths, but my favorite has to be Noble Six's because I'm a sucker for tragic last stands, and playing through that one, while brief, was incredibly emotional and satisfying.

Oh, and everything about Mordin's death; the singing was a stroke of brilliance. I feel the same way about the entire end of Metal Gear Solid 3 and The Boss' death. Eva's monologue, the salute, the ending theme...just beautiful.
