See, I had a friend lend me one of her books years back, and while the story was interesting (something about werewolves I think?), I could NOT like her writing style. I felt irrational anger with every page. I was consistently rewording/editing things to flow better in my head and it destroyed any chance I had of enjoying the book itself.

Now, maybe her writing style has changed and if I read something newer I'd enjoy it, but it's hard to want to after that experience. XD

I will say that I thought her technical writing skills improved a lot between the first book or two and the last several.
