I guess as long as I work hard and believe in myself, I can make money from both options. How much is a back alley blow job going for these days, anyway? I have to give my publisher a cut of my book sales, just like I'd have to do with a pimp, but if I can get at least $50 for head, even if I have to fork over half that, I'm still up $25. Books go for 6.99-17.99ish. With a publisher's cut, I'm not making half of what I would make blowing some dirty cop on his lunch break. I picked the wrong outlet, I think.

Plus, prostitution is blow and go and pump and dump. Books involve so much work for so long.

I hear that nowadays most sex workers are self-employed and no longer have pimps. It's decent money, but safety, hygiene and disease are a concern.

I actually knew someone in the trade. Worked herself up from X-rated masseuse to "madam". Made a shitload of money. But the thing with some people is that no matter how much money the get, they blow it. They just adjust their lifestyle and spend thousands upon thousands. This woman owned several properties, but ended up losing it all.

So, I'd say, if you DO do it: have a plan. Be smart about the money.
