Text: I am an abuse survivor.

I also happen to enjoy unhealthy dynamics in my ships (incest, power imbalances, obsession, hatesex, etc.) I don’t go out of my way to write or look for fics that mirror my experiences, but I can honsestly say if the relationship isn’t unhealthy in some way than I’m most likely not all that interested. It doesn’t have to be blatant or in your face for me to enjoy it. I like fluff with the toxic nature of the relationship lurking on the fringes.

Anyway, the point of this is, I wish people didn’t feel the need to talk over me about this. Spamming up the tags of the ships I follow with nonsense out of some misguided idea that they’re protecting all abuse survivors everywhere by pointing out how ~gross~ and ~problematic~ the ship is. I know that (that’s why I’m here at all) and let me tell you something. You’re not helping. I wouldn’t dream of subjecting another survivor to something that might trigger them, but my responsibility ends after cutting and warning for content. If it’s not your thing or if it triggers you than I absolutely completely 100% understand. I don’t talk over you or for other survivors. I just wish I got the same courtesy.
