There are a lot of consent issues when alcohol is involved, specially if the fic implies that the couple (or threesome, or foursome, or...) would not have had sex had they not been drunk. Not saying that all drunk sex is rape, of course, but in my experience some drunk!sex fics are pretty skeevy.

Maybe that could be what is turning you off?

Yeah. Drunk to where you find everything funnier, you get really flirty, and you decide it's safer not to drive? Sure, rock on and get your rocks off. Drunk to where you're incapable of standing upright and you're calling people by the wrong name? FUCK NO.

I've seen some drunk!fic that I think must've been written by teenage teetotalers, because they don't seem to understand that the latter is not the ONLY stage of drinking. You don't have one beer and then forget how to have feet, regardless of what your youth pastor told you.
