It annoys me how the Internet is basically in an endless state of backlash to things, and backlash to backlash to things, and so on to infinity. It is exhausting.

I feel the same way. I wouldn't even say it's strictly related to SJ because sometimes it's like "You like this thing? wtf, this OTHER thing is so much better" and it's just based on personal preference-- and THEN people jump on the backlash train because they like to feel superior or something. A lot of the time it's warped in SJ discourse, though.
