Can we please talk about something other than woobie!Daud and his little boy band of minor background characters. PLEASE.
Don't think I don't notice that you cut out and ignore his second in command for every single little boyband meta, fic or art. Fucccck you guys I hope he's dead in the sequel.

URGH.

tldr Dishonored tag is mostly Daud, the whalers minus Billie (because girl), more daud, daud and fucking daud.

God, this so much. The amount of people obsessed with Thomas, when he got a fraction of the characterization that Billie got, and the amount of people obsessed with generic Whaler 5...

I don't even have anything against Daud, I just want some variety. There are tons of great characters in the game. And if you're gonna write about Daud, why conspicuously exclude Billie? It's like writing about Corvo but ignoring Jessamine and Emily. She's kind of an important part of his character arc.

Urgh yes, like Daud's greatest nemesis is an awesome lady, many of his 'obstacles' are amazing ladies but no, no it always goes back to Daud, boyband and one little named yes-man.

Oh man and you have no idea the depth of my irritation (and slight creeped outness) at all the Emily+Corvo join the boyband crap.

Yeah sure, Daud killing Jessamine means her possible-lover and her kid (WHO BOTH WITNESS THE MURDER) will totally join his fucked up band of assassins.

I just want them to fucking ease up on Daud and I will fucking flounce the fuck out of the fandom if the sequel is all about fucking goddamn Daud or the whalers jesus christ the ingame world has SO MUCH MORE than one regretful assassin and his yes-men.

I wish we had a hell of a lot more Corvo and Outsider shit than Daud and his merry band of OCs. I like Daud, he's cool, but the 'verse is so fucking interesting and I'd like to explore that a lot more than I'd like to explore Daud for the eleventybillionth time.

(Assassin's Creed was like this for a while after Brotherhood came out. Just a fucking FLOOD of assassin recruit OCs. The art was nice but I just don't give a fuck about your OC.)

The thing is, when something not!Daud of interest happens - it practically explodes in popularity...but on a day to day basis it is just Daud after Daud after Daud.

Like, one of the BNF I like well enough but I had to stop following them because it was nothing but Daud and my depth of not-giving-a-shit has very quickly moved intro frustration.

When I get some free time I'll have to try to contribute to the not-daud side and hope others piggyback off me for some meta or art or fic. I think most of us a lurkers now. Waiting for any new news.

AND LET ME SAY how fucking pleased I am the Thomas got shit all in the art book.

But I am incredibly DISPLEASED that Daud got more attention than the TWO MAIN CHARACTERS and JESSAMINE (the entire TURNING POINT) COMBINED.

give his stupid potato face a break and talk about the rest of the characters!!!
