Woobified villains always and forever bugs me. Especially in fandoms where you would in no way expect it.

The number of woobified!Sauron fics I've found lately... disturbs me greatly. I mean, yes, I've been mostly reading Sauron fics, but still. And a special shoutout to the author who wrote a fairly graphic chapter of him having his minions torture people just to get to the person you paired him with and yet them still ending up happy and him repenting and all the blame being laid on other characters. What the hell?

I personally hate woobified villains, because I love villains, and I love them because they're evil and badass. Not because I want them to be a whiny pitiful woobie.
(Lol, I find woobie!Sauron so funny. I can't believe it, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.)

I also found one fic that woobified both him and Morgoth.

Tolkien fandom is pretty amusing at times.

Seriously, though. Villains are interesting characters because they are villains. I love in-character fics that explore villains, their motivations, and the complexities of their characters. And it is totally possible to make them interesting and layered without making them actually good.

Okay, the ones I have is this one: http://www.silmarillionwritersguild.org/archive/home/viewstory.php?sid=955

This is the one that includes graphic torture and still manages to woobify him.

There is this one that is supposedly the Morgoth/Sauron bible. Only it is just so out of character to me. Maybe not entirely woobified, but pretty close (and Morgoth is a bit woobified as well): http://archiveofourown.org/works/798300

There is this one that is mostly canon except that Sauron is somehow in love with Celebrimbor: http://archiveofourown.org/works/1344616

There is this Melkor/Sauron fic, which is a sequel but is worse than the first one, where both Sauron and Morgoth are woobified: http://archiveofourown.org/works/1232164

Those are the only ones that I can find links for right now.

You dont have a clear idea of what "woobie" means, do you? Just because villains are portrayed with more depth of character than a cartoon one-dimensional villain, who is all evil laughs and nothing more, it means they're woobies? How on earth does this apply to This Game with Play? Where is it implied that the villains are good, nice persons in there? Or where is Sauron woobified in the last fic you posted, exactly: where he rapes Finrod, where he enjoys torturing Hurin or where he disfigures Celebrimbor with a chisel??
