lol I know, I know, but I wanted to read really fucked up forced feminization and non-con (and, to be fair, there's that too. There's just also wangsty high school AUs)

I just can't believe Outlast fandom has high school AU's. ...How even would that work? How would the characters even be in the slightest recognizable? Thinking about this is breaking my brain.

Fandom is amazing. And terrible. But amazing.

In some of them, Eddie is just a sweet dude with no rampant misogyny or murderous rage and Waylon is a wallflower who gets bullied by Jeremy and occasionally angsts about having a homophobic father (and usually Mount Massive is turned into the high school). It's....weird. I don't get how Outlast attracts the kind of people that write fluffy high school AUs

Neither do I, neither do I... Fandom always surprises me.

(The funny thing being there are plenty of fandoms where that kind of AU wouldn't be insanely far fetched, but they decide to write it for the one with all the rape, murder, etc.)

Your icon just reminded me that I have read some Spartacus High School AU fics out of curiosity and the disconnect was too strong for me to try and finish them.

Jesus, I wouldn't have been able to either. I can't even imagine how those characters would fit into a high school AU, but considering all the sex, ridiculous cursing, and violence it would be hilarious watching someone try.
