I am with you anon.

In fic I write slash because that's what I really like. Cliched tropey setups, the works. Guilty pleasure, not real at all.

In original fic, I feel like my writing has to be less cliched. So I have more lesbians because they're an easier sell to the general public (straight men won't be put off so much) and I still get to have my gay.
