Hehe, I wouldn't worry. Many people are fascinated with their Profs at some point.

No, but really, I feel you. And sadly, yes, it does carry over in real life.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-18 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)Text: Fandom made me realize I have a thing for crying (specifically men crying) not even in a sexual way I just really like the display of vulnerability
which is great because in fandom you can reblog a gifset of Sebastian Stan crying and no one will judge you
But it carries over to my real life
So in situation like my teacher crying during a documentary about the Dustbowl I get oddly fascinated and then become disgusted with myself
TLDR: fandom made me realize I have a bunch of weird kinks and I am kind of ashamed of these realizations

Long as you don't treat other people as your personal kinktoys, I wouldn't worry.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-18 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)It's not that I want to see men sad. It's the emotional openness, something which is still largely taboo for men in daily life.
Best male actor for crying scenes is Tom Hiddleston, no contest. When he cries my whole body sighs. I thought his Henry V was embarrassingly bad. Then he cried during one scene, and I forgave him everything. I wish there were Oscars for crying. Many actors admit to finding cryig for the camera difficult. Hiddleston would win the Crying Oscars every year. Best ever crier.

Although I nearly died of embarrassment the time I was asked to read the Velveteen Rabbit to a group of kindergarteners and was sobbing by the end. :/

OP, you should watch the Olympics. You get a lot of really awesome crying there. Here's my favorite from the London Olympics:
