Well, I think the best I can hope for on the Martha front is that Philip doesn't have to kill her (I'm always surprised when she survives a season).

As for Stan/Nina...yeah, not on that boat. I really like Oleg/Nina. But she's so compelling an actress that it's hard not to love her with everyone. Hell, I might ship her with Arkady now that I think about it.

Pretty much this. I just feel really sorry for Martha and really fascinated by her determined denial about how sketchy the whole relationship is.

And I love Nina and would just lose a ton of respect for her if she actually, seriously ended up with Stan at this point. I could see her with Oleg or, yeah now I can see Arkady, but mostly I just see her walking victoriously away from all of them.

I don't find it depressing but yeah, it is pretty tense, pretty much all the time. There are bits of subtle humor here and there but overall it's a rather serious show. (It's awesome though.)

I think I might wait to watch it until I've got a dearth of tense shows on the roster. I can only handle so much stress at once. LOL

It depends on your sense of humor (and how well you know the time period and political issues they're dealing with). I have an odd, often dark humor and can usually find something to giggle about at least once an episode. Plus, the wigs are hilarious.

(But yeah, it's usually pretty tense.)

I don't want to sound like ugly!anon, but the noses in this secret fascinate me. The man in the first pic looks like a Muppet, the one in the second pic looks like a bird-muppet, and the second woman's nose is so straight and sharp it looks like it was drawn with a ruler.
