I liked the premise, and how they dealt with Aurora (at first I thought they were going for stupid kid, then I realized they wanted Maleficent to understand her innocence in the whole thing, and I did like that), but I just felt it missed the mark, somehow.

I'm not a Disney buff so I know little to nothing about the others in the picture, but she definitely wasn't as interesting as I felt they wanted her to be.

Are you me, OP?

I've tried so many times to A) play as anything other than female human noble and B) (after failing A) romance Leliana or Zevran, but I can't bring myself to do it at all.

I've never been able to turn down Morrigan's ritual either because I can't stand the thought of Alistair or my Warden dying. (Though I think I would save Alistair if I had to. He's just too precious)

idk, i think we all liked Mithian because she was cool. i don't think this fandom has issues with women "getting in the way" of the slash pairing. the fandom seems to like Gwen and Freya just fine.

Some of them have that problem (and all of the TV Xmas eps are written for an audience that gives slightly less of a shit than usual), but A Christmas Carol and Last Christmas are pretty good examples of how to do it while also endeavouring to tell a proper story.

Ah, TTF... it started out so good (my all-time favorite is where they ended up in the Smurf village. I was so mad they had to remove Azrael from the reprints b/c of DC, because it killed a hilarious visual joke), but then as it became more and more neckbeard soapbox-y, I stopped reading altogether (but that was also around the time my father and I stopped collecting action figures because the hobby was getting way too pricey for us. I think Toyfare folded not long after that). Then I found out most of them moved on to Robot Chicken, which would explain why I found it unfunny 3/4ths of the time.

But yeah, their version of Doom is pretty much the only way I can "see"/hear the character, for better or for worse. (Same with their sardonic Spider-Man, idiot*Thor, and perpetually drunken-and-vomiting*Iron Man) I still crack up every time I remember this one panel where he punched Franklin Richards in the stomach while yelling 'JUMANJI!' for some reason... . Good times.

I feel like every part of this chain of reasoning makes no sense to me

- This will not shatter any romantic illusions because working at Black Books would own
- Black Books is not particularly realistic
- You should not recommend this series, as it's kind of bad
