Ehh... Aside from the fact that I really don't get that deeply attached to any character that I get angry at other options, my view of the whole plot is influenced by my own Warden, who is not only a non-marriagable option (Elven Mage), but about halfway through my first play-through went from being an expy of my Silmaril RP character to being another alternate life of hers.

Given that she was un-marriagable, when I was playing her game I thought to option of being Alistair's mistress was an ideal compromise considering the politics and prejudices presented in the game. I am not someone who complains about the cultures depicted in the game being "unfair!" because they won't allow some perfect ideal. I prefer the faulty realism of a world that has prejudices against certain races etc., as it gives far more depth and genuine colour to the story.
