Pokémon fandom also has a lot pokemon x human ships, so you sometimes run into porn of children screwing magical animals too. All in all, it's a great fandom, full of well adjusted adults.

Definitely one of the worst fandoms I've ever been in full of people who take a damn kids game way too fucking seriously and have some of the most disgusting porn I've ever encountered. I'd heard the stories about the Pokemon fandom and stayed away.

Then I found a pairing I actually liked, by accident, with two of the adults. I was reading a really long, great fic I was really enjoying, only for it to suddenly take a violent rapey turn at the end. The rape is love trope, the whole works. The rest of the fic was such good quality. Lots of complex characters, great scene setting and actual research for locations and plot. I really wasn't expecting it.

Put off the fandom for life now, and yeah, I should have known. There's a reason reputations are born.

i've barely ever seen may aged up. nearly all fanart i've seen of redorbshipping has may at her in-game age which is 12, so ... yeah i think it's a good thing it's not as popular as the ship with two fully grown consenting adults.

apparently calling a ship with an adult and a child a adult/child ship makes you an idiot. I mean ship may/maxie all you want, but please don't act shocked when people are squicked out. there's always going to be an age gap, may met maxie when she was twelve and he was about forty? even if you age her up people have the right to find it a bit creepy just as much as you have the right to love the ship to death.

IDK about the other stuff, but the ORAS stuff is kind of weird for me now because, yeah, I played the originals a decade ago when I was May's age and I self-inserted shipped her with Steven, so seeing all the May/Steven stuff now, it's like...

Yeah it's a thing. But it was already a thing?

I suppose it'd kind of be like Harry Potter fans shipping the kids while they were younger, but now that they're adults it's creepier because the characters didn't fully age with them? *shrugs*

One of those weird fandom things.

Although I also tend to stick to fluffier stuff rather than hardcore rule 34 drawings, so... yeah.

Text: I wish this ship was more popular than Maxie/Archie.

I just don’t like Archie all that much, but there’s more than double the content for Maxie/Archie than there is Maxie/May.

But it’s not popular because some idiots think it’s adult/child, when none of the characters have their names mentioned. Most people age her as 18.

I mostly like Maxie more because I have a thing for jerks in glasses.

ORAS bringing back max/Archie with a fury is my favourite thing. But aren't all the Hoenn ships kinda getting more interest anyway? I was an Emerald player, so the story was slightly different, but looking at the new dialogues in the remake, and all the fan works, really makes me want to play these ones pretty bad.

Anywho, I don't have qualms about shipping anyone or the MCs in this fandom, so I don't particularly feel a need to bother knowing someone totally aged up a character for their fic/art.

Yeah, ALL of the Hoenn ships are getting more interest- all of a sudden, people are noticing that Steven/Wallace is a good ship. Guys, it's been a good ship since Emerald.

Let's set this straight:

Red, Blue/Green, Leaf, Gold, Silver, Kris/Lyra, Lucas, Dawn, Barry, Brendan, May, and Wally are ALL under the age of 13, regardless or not the games don't "confirm" the ages.

Gen 5 and onward the main characters and rivals (barring ORAS) are implied to be teenagers/young adults.

That being said, you can ship whatever you want but please don't get angry when people are squicked out with Adult/Child ships. Personally I rather have Archie/Maxie than underaged characters with adults.

Ship that pair all you want OP, so long as May is age appropriate. It's what I do. I mean, I ship Serena/Sycamore to an extent and I age her to 18.
