The timelines are kind of messy. Mostly because the writers have the math sense of J.K. Rowling.

(Remember when Anders turned up as an established figure in Kirkwall a year after the destruction of Lothering, when the Blight took two years to resolve and he was present in Amaranthine for the events of Awakwning six months after the Blight ended?)

The Blight lasted one year in canon, and Lothering was destroyed during the Blight, not afterward. Timeline's still plenty wonky, but there's way more room in there for fudging than if the Blight lasted two years.
