There is a girl in my friendship group (note that I'm not even describing her as a friend even though by all rights I probably should) who is actually a very genuinely nice person. And she has only ever been warm and pleasant towards me. And yet, she bugs the hell out of me simply because I feel her niceness is insincere despite having no proof of this. Either way, I much prefer hanging out with my asshole other friends who do genuinely annoying things a lot of the time but whom I love anyway.

In light of this story, I would have no qualms about disliking this person you're describing, because I think a condescending, close-minded attitude like that is at best deeply immature and at worst elitist, and either way stupid and rude. Stupid people, I can deal with. But rude stupid people? They can go fuck themselves.
