we started out just fuckbuddies. he was fresh out of a relationship and still had feelings for her. he asked me what i wanted out of our relationship because he said he wanted to work things out with his ex and thought it wouldnt be fair to me if we got more involved until things got sorted. i absolutely did not push him away. he asked me in late december if i wanted to date and i said yes. but he never followed through.
