Views + kudos(10)/timespan(chapter count^2)

No really though, I mainly write one shots so if something is a multichapter fic with 1000 views and a bunch of kudos and my one shot has 10 kudos and a thousand views I generally take that as a greater measure of success.

I write exclusively for small fandoms so I'm just glad that anyone likes my work and that I have a few fans. I'll never be the most popular writer because I'm not prolific enough (I have a life to attend to) and my fic writing is always just practice and experimenting with technique.
