Yeah, trans* in anime confuses me. Especially since girly looking men/girly dressing men is actually a genre/fetish over in Japan. They're honestly not supposed to be seen as actual women.

Meyers was popular? At most, the people I knew who liked the movie were either indifferent to him or didn't really remember/cared that he existed. I got the point of his character -the audience POV-type-, and while I have no opinion about him (he's just kinda... there), I was kinda glad they put him on a bus for HBII for the sake of the story. He wouldn't have fit in with it at all, imo.

Totally agree about Johann. Seth MacFarlane did do a decent job, I will admit, but he gives me douche chills. (Funny story: I remember I griped a couple times on the old HBII movie forums about MacFarlane being cast. When I actually got a chance to meet Del Toro in person, at a private fan screening of the movie, he remembered my dislike of Danny Elfman more than MacFarlane, haha)

And yes, I agree as well. I'd love a third Hellboy movie so much... but I'm beginning to doubt we'll ever see one, especially with the glut of comic book movies in general and the bubble dangerously close to bursting over the next 2-3 years. :(

I did too, OP. Even knowing now, I easily forget she's a brunette while rereading the series because her hair is just so damn white in all the panels. And it makes even less sense because Kyo has red hair (aka lighter than brown hair), and it gets shading while Tohru's doesn't.

I mean, I seen other mangaka do similar things (white = brown while black = black), but at least their stuff is still in the right sequential order on the hair shading scale.
