there are tens of millions of transgender people on this earth; rare as we are compared to the general population, the globalisation of the internet has made it much easier for us to group together and find spaces for ourselves. while i agree that a lot of people with trans headcanons are not trans (and most of them in my experience dont claim to be), even if everyone with trans headcanons was trans themselves i dont think the numbers should be shocking

And it doesn't surprise me at all that a lot of trans people with internet access would gravitate somewhere like Tumblr.
