Kinda OT but I was annoyed that Liz's fire wasn't blue in the second movie.

I was annoyed she didn't use it more. She seemed like she had much more control and/or was more comfortable with it. I wanted to see her wreck some stuff.

I was annoyed because she was shelved with the pregnancy plot which left her little time to be badass.

Agreed. This is the one point that makes me apprehensive about a sequel because they have to address the kids. So, either Hellboy's a father of twins (which suggests a domestic comedy) or something happens to the babies to get rid of them (which is really, really dark but also focuses on their loss). I can't really see a way that would be interesting to me.

I feel the exact same way about the future of Hellboy 3. Don't get me wrong, I love the two we have, but 2 always gives me this bitter note by how bogged down Liz was with the pregnancy and how the same thing would happen in the next movie with the kids.

Not to mention I have zero interest in domestic HB anyway. I've had my share of Beauty and the Beast parenthood stories, where the Beast always has a character arc centering on father issues that he inevitably is able to overcome.

Though tbh, getting rid of the babies sounds like what the Angel might have been hinting at in the second movie, with the way it claims Liz will suffer more than anyone for bringing Hellboy back to life.
