Don't know the first but I know the new trend of sjws ~feminists~ is to put every female character who has a romantic relationship into their black list.

Yet, fandoms worship plenty of male characters that are like Maria (and more bland and underdeveloped) so yeah..

That's because male characters like that aren't written with the implication that they're how men need to be in order to be worth anything. The problem with the female characters isn't really that they're bland and underdeveloped, it's that they're bland, underdeveloped, and idealized. In movies and shows with more than one female character, there's nothing wrong with having one bland badass woman as long as the other female characters are varied and interesting.

Exactly. It's still defining a woman by just her gender. Just because she fights or has a cool one liner doesn't mean she's an interesting character. It just feel like more lazy writing instead of people giving female characters the same care and attention they do male characters when writing them.
