I don't really have a specific baseline, now that I think about it. I usually just compare it to other fics I've written in the same fandom with expectations adjusted up or down based on what kind of fic it is and how long. I've been posting some stuff on Tumblr lately and there for my current fandom I'm pretty happy with about 30-40 notes depending on whether I've crossposted it to AO3 and ff.net or not. I also usually feel happier with a fic if I get a really good comment, even if it's only one.
