Most of it honestly sucks. I consider myself a fan, but what I like tends not to be the stuff that gets popular and it's difficult finding fans with similar tastes or interested in the aspects that I'm into.

But if you're not feeling it anymore you don't have a big deal about it by telling your friends, just try bonding over other stuff or try getting your friends into the stuff you're into. Surely they have more interests than just anime, right?
