Velvet Goldmine is good, especially if you like David Bowie/glam rock. I watch a lot of lgbt themed documentaries on netflix, there is a pretty good mix of serious ones (We Were Here, about the aids crisis) and fun ones (Pageant, about drag queen pageants).

I'm looking at what they have and some of the movies I liked on there are off now, hmm.
