When she told me about it I thought it was going to be totally obvious he was 100% joking but seeing that, I'm not sure. I don't know if it's who she was talking about or not but it seems like there's a chance that guy could actually be serious. Interesting.

Alex O'Loughlin (the other lead) has made comments in a similar vein. His came across as more joking (talking about getting to second base or third base or one of those), but the overall impression I've gotten off of both of them is that they'd be game to do it. They've both admitted to throwing in things like snuggling that aren't scripted but lean shippy, and they've been left in, so. No clue. If that's who your friend was talking about, though, she might be right about it edging toward canon. Signs are there (and I say this as someone who didn't start seeing ship material until recently).

Iiiiiinteresting. Now I feel bad for thinking she was being crazy if that's who she was talking about because from what you've said it sounds like maybe she wasn't being that crazy after all.

Also, snuggling and actors who purposely throw in slashy things? It sounds like I need to watch this show.

In your defense, most people do have the ship goggles worn way too tight when they say their slash ship is about to become canon.

I don't necessarily think they will go there but I also wouldn't be surprised if they did, and I think it's more likely here than some other shows. I watch a lot of things where the slash ship is heavily teased, and in most cases I KNOW nothing is going to come of it, but something about this one really does feel different to me.
