Re: Attack on Titan

It's a dramatic and pretty gory shounen series about teenagers who are shuffled into fighting a pointless war against man-eating giants, with the added bonus of court and military intrigue and a steampunk setting (debate on whether the show is set past, present, or a different planet entirely.) It's a grim premise to be sure, but it does some interesting things, the anime art is really cool, and the characters develop in believable ways. If you're someone who always joins fandoms for the series you watch, however, I'd be cautious-- it's one of the crazier anime fandoms, and the anime vs manga debate gets really heated.
