Everything I've seen and heard of this fandom has me staying far, far away from it. It sounds worse than WTNV honestly.

yeah, I like looking at the pretty fanart and reading whatever fic tickles my fancy, but I stay pretty far away from the actual people in the fandom

It really is right up there as far as insufferable fandoms go. I only look at the pretty fan art that occasionally rolls by my dash or I see in someone's favorites on DeviantArt, but I'd just as soon go knee-deep into the Superwholock morass than spend any millisecond of time in the Dragon Age fandom itself.

I don't think it's so bad, at least not if your picky about who to pay attention to. The world lends itself to a lot of good, thoughtful discussion.

They ran David Gaider off tumblr partly accompanied by homophobic language (yes, tumblr using homophobic slurs, who'da thunk?) this week. That's an achievement that counts toward the horrible fandom title IMO.
