Idk but if you are young, healthy and taking up most of the space on the footpath I'll play chicken with you no matter the gender. I'm not stepping onto the nature strip cause someone's ego takes up the space of two people >:( and if we slam into or clip each other, maybe next time they'll stick to their side of the path :/

But you got like a dog or many bags or a pram or are old or a very larger less moveable figure I'll step aside for you.

In the city I am a fast speeder-swerver and don't have time for slow chicken games. Although I find sometimes ladies might not realise how much space their bag can take. Overall I not notice a gender difference.
