I think it's a bunch of different shows.

Pretty sure upper left is Legend of the Seeker.

I don't think I've started watching something for eyecandy but I know I've kept watching some things that I would normally turn off because of the pretty people. (Generally if something doesn't catch my interest in the first 15 minutes or so then I don't waste any more time on it)

I've only watched Legend of the Seeker and Whitechapel (and for reasons other than eye-candy), but Legend of the Seeker is the perfect eye-candy show. There's so much pretty in that show it's ridiculous. (It's also entertaining and has badass, smart ladies; I highly recommend it.)

For a moment I wondered if bottom left was from Hawaii 5-0, then I realized that Alex was too young and it must be Moonlight. Never did watch that, but I've heard it has slashy vampires so maybe I should.

Basically, I won't judge you; I like eye-candy, too.

Yes, that's from Moonlight. It wasn't a great show in terms of quality but it was fairly enjoyable. And yes, the relationship between the main male characters -- played by Alex O'Loughlin and Jason Dohring -- had some great subtext. If you don't mind vague spoilers, go to youtube and search "Moonlight - Josef Turns Mick." You'll get a few results for the show's slashiest scene.

i tried silk for rupert but my god, it was dull. never managed to go beyond the 1st season of whitechapel either.

so, so handsome, but his projects just ain't my bag.

The format of Whitechapel changed/got tweaked with every season though, so you might still enjoy the second one? It's less gothic and more cop drama w prohibition era style gangster plot. (The second series is often maligned since it's so different from the other 3, but that's precisely why I love it so much)

Eye candy can draw me to try something I otherwise might not have, but it's not enough to keep me invested if that's all it's got going for it.

If all I'm after is the eye candy, I'd rather look at actors' photo-shoots etc. rather than have the eye candy tainted by associating it with a bad/boring/whatever show.

I deigned to sit through all of "I, Frankenstein" the other night solely because of the hot men. I actually kept reaching for the remote because of how painfully stupid it was, then stopping because of Hot Persian Marco Polo Guy, and Spartacus' Bestie, and Stupid Sexy Frankenstein... Why does Hollywood want me to perv on stone statues and corpses, ffs?

I tend to do this with movies more than TV shows, I find it easier to sink my time into a two hour movie for eye-candy than spend what could be 20+ hours with a TV show for the same reasons(especially if I don't actually end up caring about the characters/story in a show).

But that's just personal preference and if someone wants to watch a show for pretty people? Go for it.

I can't do that. I will definitely start something in anticipation of eye-candy but if things start to suck then I move on.

That said, I hated Man of Steel but an enamored with Henry Cavill because of his immaculate body of work. In the gym. He looked astonishing with his shirt off. He makes me drool in the Superman suit. And that movie makes me want to beat Zack Snyder to a pulp.

On the other hand, I went into Magic Mike for no other reason that wanting to see the various men getting naked and walked away pleasantly surprised by a really good movie that made me completely rethink Channing Tatum. He's totally okay by me when he plays good-hearted dudebros or dances. The man is a phenomenal dancer, and I don't just mean stripping! But he still bores me in most other movies.
