I loved her too BECAUSE she was such an awesome villain.

It's just some people put her on a pedestal as a feminist hero, which she is not. So, if you say you like Amy, some people think that you are pro her actions. Which sucks. I don't approve of her actions. I like her because she is an evil genius.
