Sadly, with some people you can't just say "I didn't like it" or "It didn't click with me" and be certain of them leaving it. I've had friends and acquaintances take that as an invitation to find a way to bring me around. Oh, you didn't like the first couple of episodes? Let me tell you about season three! It didn't click for you? Why? You can't tell me? Well maybe you didn't watch it closely enough! Let me enumerate all the reasons I love it to try and convince you! They just love it so much they can't quite accept that someone they know and like doesn't also love it and they're determined to share that love, whether it's wanted or not. In that case almost any critique can result in hurt feelings.

It's fucking exhausting.

Yeah, there are some people who will take rejection of their favorite show as a ~personal rejection~ and try that much harder to get people to like it.
