Can someone explain to me what this movie is about?

Because seriously, I find all this idea of 'a violent killer as a feminist icon? GASP' really strange because of Hothead Paisan, Homicidal Lesbian Terrorist. It's already been done, decades before, and Hothead Paisan was probably more popular. (She had a freakin' CANDY BAR for a while!)

I've never even heard of "Hothead Paisan", tbh

Yeah, Hothead Paisan was a bit of a cult comic for a while and really famous in the gay newspapers/comics scene. It ran back in the 90s, and was started when DiMassa (the creator) was in drug rehab and decided to make comics about how pissed she was at everything. It became a hit and mostly involves Hothead Paisan violently destroying everything that displeases her.

I guess she's supposed to be a feminist icon because he cheated and was a douche, but I think framing someone for murder and then actually killing someone else (and framing him for kidnapping and abuse), plus the insemination thing, puts her more in the categories of sadistic manipulator and killer.

Man, I'm not a big fan of Hothead Paisan, but she sounds WAY more interesting and cool than this. (Plus, I think the comic did a pretty good job of making clear it was over-the-top power fantasy borne of frustration, not... whatever the hell Gone Girl is.)
