there's a fic I've been following, and the writer is great at plot, but not...everything else. So I've been rewriting it for myself. I won't post it anywhere, of course, but I still feel a little bad about it....

Eh, that's not too awful. Like you said, it's more for your personal enjoyment and you're not posting it anywhere, so more power to ya. :)

Haha, I think that's something everyone has wanted to do. Is there any way you can twist it so that it doesn't look as much as the original fic?

I highly doubt it. It's pretty distinctive. XD

But the main reason I write anything is that I want to read it but it's not out there, so the loss of some feedback is no huge deal!
