I'm always glad for the opportunity to sleep more, but I'm also a bit bummed because now the first rehearsal of the semester is canceled. Wish it'd happened on Thursday instead, when I have a full day of classes. Those probably won't be canceled unless it snows through Wednesday too.

Yes, this awesome networking lunch thing I was going to on Wednesday was cancelled too. But then again, I live all the way out in Quincy, so getting into Boston in bad weather is next to impossible. So it is just as well my office is closed at least for tomorrow.

I am in the land of opposite-of-blizzards, ie, our hot and dry Santa Ana winds. I mean I guess it's only 68-70 now, but it was 80+ this weekend. I almost changed what I was wearing to my party on Saturday (a long-sleeve sweater dress, knee length) because it was really warm when I changed into it in the afternoon.

It is v comfy where I am. Although I wouldn't mind if we got some rain since we still need it.

Also I got a Chipotle burrito because they have a 2-for-1 deal going on (kind of - you have to wait to get the second burrito), and then the person at the register gave me too much change so it ended up only costing me a couple bucks which I didn't notice till I left the store. So that was okay.

Got myself a packet of Wild flower meadow seed mix today, mixed specifically for attracting bees. (I'm planning a sort of complimentary planting/Companion planting scheme to go with a vegetable patch.)

Cold in Indy, just a dusting of snow tonight. Weird how last year we got hit with tons of snow and so far this season I've only shoveled once and that was about 5 inches of snow. Will be interesting at work the next few days as customers call in to check on their shipments. What do you mean there's a delay?! Um, didn't you just have a bunch of snow hit you? Sheesh.

I'm doing all right. I'm in the path of the blizzard, and I'm doing some prep for it, since I definitely expect to lose power. Cooking up a big crockpot meal, doing all the laundry, filling the tub with water (we're on a well, so if the power goes out, we'll lose our running water after about a day), breaking out the oil lamps, overdosing on the internet...

No blizzard forecast here in Michigan. Ironically. ;)

Doctor's appointment tomorrow, uptick in symptoms tonight that mean I may not be good at talking much tomorrow, so I'm jotting down everything I want to say to my doctor by way of internet research and hypotheses in a text file so I can just hand him a piece of paper and save my strength for any questions he has after seeing my suspicions and explanations.

On the plus side, he's eating again!

The weather around here hasn't been too bad yet, but it helps that I'm on the opposite coast from the blizzard. Have had a shit ton of fog, though. :/

I'm feeling good tonight. I baked my favorite oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and I had my first class of the semester and it looks like it's going to be a good class.

My mom is a teacher so she'll probably have a snow day tomorrow.

Was going to make cookies using a mix I bought at Target a while back and there was a gross...thing in the mix. I have no idea what it was because I was too grossed out to look closely, I only saw it when I stopped the mixer and it was stuck on the mix attachment. It was a medium-sized thingy that was sorta pointed at one end, that was the closest I managed before poking it back into the bowl and tossing the whole thing down the garbage disposal. Though now I wish I'd taken a picture so I could write Target a nasty letter. Plus I have no cookies now and I still feel vaguely grossed out :(

I had a filling this morning that I was really anxious about. I am always anxious about dental work because of some experiences in the past. I even had trouble sleeping last night because I was dreading it.

But lo and behold, while not necessarily pleasant, it didn't even hurt one time and it doesn't hurt at all now that the numbing agent has worn away. Yay!

I live in a tropical country and have never seen a real snow in my life, so I can't imagine how big a blizzard is like. Hope those of you who are effected stay safe. It's pretty chilly here for a part few weeks and I got a sore throat, but the temperature had raised in the last 2 days so I'm pretty comfortable.

Also still trying to convince myself that my speech disorder is not that bad to work part time at kfc (or any place like that).
