Got myself a packet of Wild flower meadow seed mix today, mixed specifically for attracting bees. (I'm planning a sort of complimentary planting/Companion planting scheme to go with a vegetable patch.)

Seed mixes are a nice place to start. I've found that bees love sunflowers, and you can sort of tuck them in on the border of a garden so they tower over everything. :)

Whereabouts are you? In some localities, Echium plantagineum (aka "Paterson's Curse") is an invasive weed.

As a matter of fact, if you have something like a horticulture answer line available to you, I'd inquire there about your seed mix, because ox-eye daisy isn't called "Farmer's curse" for nothing. Some seed houses are unscrupulous about the formulation of their "meadow" mixes.

At first I thought it said "mixed specifically for attracting BEARS." LOL! Bees are probably a better bet to go with your vegetable patch.
